|Clinical Counselling Sessions (45-60 minutes)||A therapeutic session for the designated presenting problem. (Note: $124.50 Medicare rebate available, Mental Health Care Plan from GP required. Private Health insurance rebates also available)||$241 (or $180 for half-hour appointments)|
|Intellectual Disability Assessment||Requires a two hour testing session, of which 90 minutes is with the individual, in addition to a 30 minute background information interview with the individual and a parent/carer. All Cognitive Assessments come with a written report detailing the findings of the assessment session. Cognitive assessment assesses the different areas of intellectual functioning, the individuals strengths and weaknesses, and recommendations for future improvements and support strategies.||$750|
|Dyslexia and Educational Assessment||An Achievement Assessment assesses reading, writing, mathematics and phonetics, and gives an accurate picture of academic performance and potential, as well as comparisons to the outcomes of the individuals intellectual ability to assist in the diagnosis of educational difficulties such as dyslexia or to assist in educational development.||$825|

Payment & Medicare rebate options - Payments must be made upfront at the time of consultation, and may be made by Cash, Cheque, Bank Transfer, EFTPOS, or Credit Card (Visa and MasterCard). Tim is a registered Clinical Medicare provider, enabling clients to receive clinical rebates for therapy. Please see your GP for a referral and Mental Health Care Plan prior to your initial appointment. The Medicare rebate can be claimed following payment of the session, via an EFTPOS account, negating the need to visit Medicare. If this is not possible, a receipt will be given which can be taken to Medicare to obtain the allocated rebate. Most Private Health Insurers provide for Clinical Psychology. Check with your provider.
Medicare threshold - All out-of-pocket expenses (or gap fees) incurred count towards your families Medicare Safety Net for the calendar year. The Medicare Safety Net is designed to help by providing greater rebates once you reach your safety net threshold. Typically, Medicare will refund 80% of all future gap fee payments once your family reach their threshold in a calendar year. The recommended fee, set by The Australian Psychological Society, for a standard consultation with a psychologist is $241.00 per 45-60 minute session until the 30th June 2017. Third parties such as Government Departments, Educational Institutions, Legal and Insurance Companies, are typically billed at the APS recommended fee.
FaHCSIA - Tim is a registered provider of the ‘Helping Children with Autism’ package through FaHCSIA funding for children aged 7 or under and the Better Start Program.
Cancellation Policy - 24 hrs notice is required for appointment cancellations or clients will incur a fee of $85, unrebatable through Medicare, FaHCSIA or Workers Compensation. Exceptions to this charge, such as emergency circumstances occurring, will need to be discussed with reception in order to be waived. Due to the high demand for sessions, Tim has people on a waiting list each week wanting sooner appointments.
Reports are generally completed 4 weeks after the date of payment. If there is an urgent requirement for the release of the report and if practically feasible there is a priority completion fee of 30% added to the cost of the report in which case it will be completed within 7-10 days.
Only legal assessments are inclusive of assessment sessions cost. All reports are exclusive of GST.

Tim is a Clinical Psychologist based in Geraldton WA. Working with people of all ages, he specialises in assessing and treating children and young people. He works for the Child Development Services at the Regional Hospital in Geraldton and at Mullewa Community Health. He has private rooms in Forrest Street. He has worked in psychological practice for over 16 years in paediatric, psychiatric, clinical and forensic settings. He is a Doctor of Law (J.D.) candidate at the UNE School of Law est. 2017. He is actively involved the Australian Psychological Society (APS) in the Midwest and member of the Regional Rural and Remote Advisory Group (RRRAG) to the national board of the APS. He is a Member of the Australian College of Clinical Psychologists (CCLIN), an Associate Member of the College of Organisational Psychologists (COP) and is registered with the National Board of Psychology to supervise Provisionally Registered Psychologists and Clinical Registrars for national endorsement.
